President Named to CSULB Sport Management Advisory Committee

Stacia Ticer, Department Coordinator, Department of Kinesiology,
Everett Glenn, and ESP Intern Jasmine Whitfield, Graduate Sport
Management student
Ketra Armstrong, PhD, Program Director,
Graduate Program in Sport Management, announced today that ESP President
Everett Glenn has been appointed to the Advisory Committee for the
Graduate Program in Sport Management at California State University
at Long Beach.
The Graduate Program in Sport Management is an accelerated program
which allows the participant to earn a Master's Degree in 18 months.
The program is designed to prepare graduate students for careers
in sport/athletic administration and management. Students are prepared
to work in the sport industry in a variety of settings, including
professional, fitness, college and scholastic organizations, private
businesses, community services, as well as in academic institutions.
Program highlights include:

• The management and marketing of sport activities, personnel,
facilities & programs.

a dedicated team of professionals and academic leaders.

Olympics of Southern California is Chairman of the Advisory Committee.

ENGLEBRECHT, former Director of Promotions, Los Angeles
Lakers, Los Angeles Kings and current principal in Oscar De La Hoya's
boxing promotions company, Golden Boy Promotions; TOMMY
HAWKINS, former V.P./Communications, Los Angeles Dodgers
and current Vice President of External Affairs, Los Angeles Dodgers;
JOANN KLONOWSKI, one of the most respected female
executives in professional sports including Major League Baseball,
the NHL, the XFL, Major League Soccer and the NBA and current Director,
Consumer Marketing & Sales, California Speedway; PATRICK
McCLENAHAN, Senior Vice President/Station Manager, KCAL/KCBS,
Los Angeles; TIM MEAD, Vice President, Communications

The Advisory Committee supports the faculty in providing students
with the educational foundation and practical experience at various
venues throughout Southern California, including the necessary background
and conceptual knowledge in the management of sport, to gain access
