NAREB
is the oldest minority trade organization in America with 84 chapters
nationwide from Florida to Washington State. NAREB members are called
"REALTISTS®", a term which incorporates the many disciplines
they represent. The organization was formed out of a need to secure
the right to equal housing opportunities regardless of race, creed,
or color. The goal of the goal is to bring together the nation's
minority professionals in the real estate industry to promote the
meaningful exchange of ideas about our business and how best to
serve our clientele including the provision of certifications and
special designations in many areas of the real estate industry.
Since
its inception, NAREB has participated in various meaningful challenges
and legislative improvements, to establish fair housing for all.
Most recently, Maria Kong, President of the National Association
of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) has urged Congressional leadership,
President Bush and Secretary of the Treasury Paulson, to act fairly
and responsibly to ensure that minority-owned real estate, finance
and legal professionals are included among the firms tapped to manage
the $700 billion dollar asset portfolio as part of the federal government's
bailout of the country's failing banks, financial institutions,
and insurance companies.
ESP
President Everett Glenn, a 30-year real estate law professional,
addressed the conference and shared with the membership an overview
