Joins in NAACP Celebration of 100 Years

Social activist and leader of the
American Civil Rights Movement, politician, professor and writer,
Julian Bond, the evening's honoree.

Managing Partner, Everett Glenn, joined the NAACP Hollywood Bureau
members, NAACP President Benjamin Jealous, civil rights activist
and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the NAACP, Julian Bond,
and a host of well wishers at the beautiful Mulholland Estates
home of Judge Greg and Linda Mathis to celebrate Julian Bond as
the 94th recipient of the Spingarn Medal, the NAACP's highest
honor.

Legendary
record company executive Clarence Avant and Judge Mathis served
as Co-Chairs for the event, which was Co-Chaired by Hill Harper,
Bill Bellamy, LisaRaye, and Mo'Nique.

at the scene: actress and R& B singer Tatyana Ali, best known
for her role as Ashley Banks in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Bryon
Allen, a stand-up comedian and talk show host whose Entertainment
Studios production company produces and distributes about a dozen

including, but not limited to Comics Unleashed a comedic talk
show, Cedric the Entertainer, perhaps best known as the co-star
of The Steve Harvey Show, as Eddie in the Barbershop films, and
as one of the four comedians The Original Kings of Comedy, Don
Cornelius, television host and producer who is best known as the
creator of the nationally syndicated dance/music franchise, Soul
Train, actor and director Bill Duke, whose credits include A Rage
in Harlem, Deep Cover, Hoodlum and Sister Act II, Los Angeles
philanthropist Bernard Kinsey who has raised over $22 million
for scholarships at historically black universities,
