August 25, 2007 Anaheim, CA) Everett
Glenn, CEO and President of Entertainment & Sports Plus (”ESP”),
joined Mistress of Ceremonies Vicki Vargas, NBC4’s Orange County Bureau
Chief, Orange County Black Chamber President/Executive Director Bobby McDonald,
and over 1,000 guests at the Anaheim Convention Center in a celebration of Reading,
Writing and Recording…Our History, the theme of the Chamber’s 16th
Annual Awards Banquet.

Honorees
include the City of Anaheim for its 150th anniversary and California State University,
Fullerton, which is currently celebrating its 50th year. The 2007 Michael R. Jones
Business Impact Award was presented to Michael Adams of Orange County Printing
Consultants. The 2007 Business Person of the Year award was presented to Cedric
Ferrell, CEO/President of the Entrepreneur’s Source. The
mission of the Chamber is to advocate and promote Black business and economic
development within the public and private sectors, resulting in a sound economic
base that supports the survival and self-determination of the African-American
community. The mission statement provides the
basis for establishing four goals for all Black chamber activities and programs:
To create access to capital; and procurement opportunities; to serve as a
support vehicle for members by disseminating relevant information; to strengthen
the overall organization; and to support and contribute to the general welfare
and progress of the Black community through economic development. “The
mission and vision of the Orange County Black Chamber, to advocate and promote
business and economic development within public and private sectors, resulting
in a sound economic base that supports the survival and self-determination of
the African-American community, are consistent with the mission and vision of
ESP to act as a catalyst to raise the consciousness of professional athletes of
color and increase the participation by individuals and firms of color in the
$350 billion per year sports business industry,” says Glenn. For
